Our 1991 Nissan Figaro was back in the Bridge Classic Cars workshop for a service recently.
Classic car technician Jon removed the centre console to look into a potential issue with the gear lever but, as you can see from the video below, everything seems to be working as it should.
After reassembling everything, the Figaro was taken for a road test and performed exactly as expected.

As our classic car technicians know their classic cars so well, it’s quite common for previous cars that they have worked on to come back into the workshop for further work in the future.
One car that has recently come back to the Bridge Classic Car workshop is our 1991 Nissan Figaro. After previous work focused on the retractable roof, brakes, and suspension, this time, Jon is investigating why water is pooling in some of the drainage holes around the rim of the car, why the car revs low during start-up, an issue with the gearstick, as well as giving it a full MOT and service.

The 1991 Nissan Figaro has had all the work completed and is heading home!
The trim team have fitted and adjusted the new roof on the classic Nissan before it was handed over to the paint and body team to machine polish, making the outside as fresh and clean as the new stunning white roof.
With this all completed, the Figaro is heading back to its excited owner ready for the summer.

The trim team at Bridge Classic Cars have been finishing up their work on the 1991 Nissan Figaro’s roof. But, while they have access to certain places they took the opportunity to get it all looking and fitting perfectly.
The team took the chance to clean up the rear window surround for the customer to blend into the new roof covering on the classic Nissan.
Now with this done, the car has been handed over to our Paint and Body team to begin machine polishing the car.

The team have carefully cleaned the area before using specialist adhesives and taping the seal down to let the glues cure.

The workshop team at Bridge Classic Cars have been working on the 1991 Nissan Figaro but this time, underneath it.
The team have been tasked with some work needed on the brakes and suspension of the classic Nissan.
Firstly, the team have replaced both rear shock absorbers due to the shock bodies themselves leaking. Then, they could turn their attention to the brakes on the car. Firstly, the rear brake shoes were replaced and adjusted before the team moved on to replacing the front brake pads.
Lastly, the team replaced one of the front lower arms.

The in-house trim team at Bridge Classic Cars have been working on the foldable roof on the 1991 Nissan Figaro at our Suffolk HQ.
To begin with, the team had to remove the old roof from the rails and mechanisms. Also, the team had to remove the rear window which is bolted to the frame and folds down into the cubby with the covering.
Before removing the roof, the team masked up the edges so as to avoid any damage to the paint on the car.
Once everything had been removed and inspected, with several pieces cleaned up at the same time, the team could begin to get the new roof and window back into place. The rear window frame was bolted into the frame to act as a guide for the new soft roof covering to be test fit against.

This beautiful 1991 Nissan Figaro arrived into the Bridge Classic Cars restoration workshops at our Suffolk HQ just before the Bank Holiday weekend.
The classic Nissan has come in for our interior trim team to take a look at the retractable roof on the car to get it sorted for the owner.
After its inspection and assessment, the team will get to work on making this wonderful Figaro as good as new.
