Pete has been working on our 1971 Rover P5B. He has completed a full service which includes plug leads, distributor cap. Rear wheel cylinders, new master cylinder, new front callipers and hoses. The car will then be sent through a MOT very soon.
Darren has completed the bodywork preperation on our Morris Mini restoration. He’s also completed the first coat of epoxy primer. This will be sanded back to a smooth finish before moving onto base primer coats.
Lovely work, Darren
Ady, Bridge Classic Cars’ engine specialist has got our E-Type fired into life. Ady has noticed an occasional misfire.
He has stripped the 45 Weber carb as there was a misfire on cylinder 6. Upon closer inspection, the tiny mixture screw had broken off. Ady’s now ordered up a new screw and will be reassembling the carburettors.
This gorgeous 1962 Triumph TR4 is in the classic car workshop today for repairs to the paintwork. It will be heading into the paint shop where Darren and Chris will be taking care of her.
This lovely ’81 Triumph TR7 is in the classic car workshop today.
Pete and Thomas have been tasked with identifying an oil leak coming from the front of the car.
They have found the source of the leak. The power steering rack is leaking and will need replacing.
In preparation for the upcoming live draw of our 1994 TVR Chimaera 500 in the Bridge Classic Cars Competitions we have decided to improve the look of our already stunning TVR Chimaera by removing the few stone chips on the front.
In order to carry out this task successfully we have removed the bonnet so we can repaint the full front to ensure we get the best results from the colour match and blending.
I think it’s fair to say Oscar is pretty pleased with the recent addition to his garage.
Hello guys, just thought I would send you a few pics of the car, itโs still super weird to go downstairs and see it there! Thank you.
Congratulations Oscar. We’re glad to hear you are enjoying your Esprit.

Ady has got our Jaguar E-Type Racecar engine up and running. She’s currently running a bit rich but Ady will have her running at her best in no time at all.
The workshop ground to a halt for a few minutes to hear this beast bark into life. Now this car really does feel like it’s nearing completion.

“Hello guys, just thought I would send you a few pics of the car, itโs still super weird to go downstairs and see it there! Thank you.“
This gorgeous HMC mark 4 is back in with us at Bridge Classic Cars. Whilst in our care we will be advisories all the advisories from the pervious MOT and undertaking any nessasary work to get it though a new MOT.
We will be Investigating the following: Underside corrosion to chassis. Coil spring corrosion. Condition of the brake disks and pads. Offside headlamp bulb.
In addition to this we will also be repairing the paintwork on the rear near side, aligning the rear bumper, fixing the passenger side lock and repairing the offside door trim
We had a brief visit today from the owner of this wonderful iconic whale-tail Porsche 911. This could be a new project for our paint shop very soon with all four arches needing attention.
Having seen our recent Triumph TR6 hardtop refurbishment, the owner of another has been in touch enquiring as to whether we could carry out a similar restoration of his hardtop. Again, this could be a possible future project for our paintshop.
Unfortunately not for a competition I’m afraid. The owner has been restoring the car for some time now but due to work commitments overseas has asked us to store and maintain the car whilst he is away.
We’ll soon be making space at the hangar for our latest addition.
We offer car storage solutions so if you have a classic that needs a home for the winter please feel free to get in touch to see what we have to offer.
Tamas has been out this morning collecting the latest addition to our workshops, our 1991 Rover Mini 1000 City E.
The car is almost ready to go, with a little paint work to address and we may look to change the modern hubcaps for something more in-keeping with the character and age of the car.
The new metalwork has been fitted and the repairs have been completed. The body shell can now venture into the paint shop to be prepared, ready for paint. The body will soon be brought back to the original Cherry red ready to be refitted.
It has been a 12 year project for the current owner having carried out almost all of the restoration works himself. The car is 99% complete and we have been asked to go over the car and do a final commission to ensure everything is as it should be.
We look forward to see the car in at the beginning of December.
Colin Tubb had all finger’s crossed when he entered our Bridge Classic Cars Competitions to win our incredible 1970 Vauxhall Viva GT.
Unfortunately Colin was not our successful winner but has since been in touch to send us some photographs of his 1968 Vauxhall Viva rallying at the Otago Classic Rally 2018.
Thanks for the pictures Colin, looks great fun!

An Aston Martin DB5 has just rolled off the production line, more than 50 years since the last DB5.
โThe DB5 is, without question, the most famous car in the world by virtue of its 50-plus year association with James Bond. To see, the first customer car finished, and realise that this is the first new DB5 we have built in more than half a century, really is quite a moment.โ
Marek Reichman, Chief Creative Officer of Aston Martin Lagonda
What do you think of this new DB5? Priced at a cool ยฃ2.75 million, this is one for Bond fans with seriously deep pockets.
Chris has now applied decals to our RS2000. Keep an eye on the Bridge Classic Cars Competitions website. This will be available to be won very soon. Superb work, Chris.
Paul has fitted the boot on our 1960 Jensen 541R. He’s custom made retaining nuts for the boot. Nicely done, Paul.
Bridge Classic Cars’ Engine Specialist, Ady has begun working on our 1956 Series One Land Rover.
The car has been sat for over 30 years without being run. To get the engine fired into life once more, Ady has stripped the carburettors down and given them a good clean and refurbish. He then assembled the carbs back together, ready to fit onto the engine. Great work, Ady!
Scott is working on our Peugeot 504 restoration. He is now starting to repair the outer reenforcement rail that was mainly full of filler. Scott has now also repaired the offside rear wheel well and dropped out the rear axle to repair the inner sill. In the past few weeks Scott has now finished repairing behind the rear set and also fabricated a new rear drip rail. Superb work, Scott!
Pete has overhauled the brake system on our 1959 Ford Consul restoration project. This included new wheel cylinders, new adjusters, relined shoes, machined cylinders and fresh brake fluid.
Darren has been hard at work in our fabrication bay. He has been cutting out all the rusted metal and coating in zinc weld-though primer before any new panels and fresh metal gets let in.
Superb work, Darren
