A former classic of ours, a 1980 MG Midget, has been featured in Enjoying MG Magazine. Her owner, Arthur Civill, gave a brilliant write-up on her history and talked about how he bought the car.
“I was fortunate to be able to purchase the car in 2018 following a fairly comprehensive recommissioning programme carried out by Bridge Classic Cars.” Arthur describes, “the car is absolutely mint and drives superbly.”
Prior to coming to Bridge Classic Cars, the MG Midget was in the same family for over 37 years. We hope she spends the next 37 with our good friend Arthur Civill, it sounds like she’s found a fantastic home.
Scott has been working on our MG Midget. He’s replaced the clutch and release bearing before the car is transported to it’s new owner. As with all of our sales vehicles we’ve also given it a full 12 months MOT. We wish the new owner many joyful miles to come in this lovely little classic.

We are now one step closer to being able to hand the keys over to the new owners, father and son who will look to enjoy the car and carry out small remedial jobs on the car in the coming years. What a great way to spend some quality father and son time.
Pete has been working on a few repairs to our lovely little 1980 MG Midget.
It needed new brake cylinders and brake shoes which have now been fitted. There was also an issue with the clutch that needed attention. Pete diagnosed a faulty clutch slave cylinder and has now fitted a new slave cylinder.
This vehicle will soon be available for purchase from ourselves. It certainly isn’t a pristine vehicle, but this little MG is a lovely, usable classic car with a whole load of bang-for-your-buck summer driving fun to be had!
After inspecting the car in preparation for sale, our Classic Car Technicians have spotted a few fixes that need to be made to get this MG into great working order. Other than a thorough clean, this vehicle will also have the brake system refurbished as well as some small correction to the paintwork.
Once these restorative works have been carried out, this 1980 MG Midget will be available for sale in the Bridge Classic Cars Showroom.
We picked up this lovely little MG Midget earlier this week. While in her current state she won’t be winning any beauty padgents, this solid little MG will be treated to some paintwork repairs in our paint shop.
This 1980 MG Midget wis a lovely summer sports car. A truly usable classic that won’t let you down.
